Thirty some odd kids of all ages now gather on the beach for the Weatherby Bowl. Talk about it for days before and after. The shot above is part of the participants this year.
Had a nice family outing to the Falcons Saints game this past weekend.

Jack and crew on his first night of cotillion.
I tied his tie for the first one. Never again. He learned to do it himself the first night. He likes it.So I wanted the kids not to be slugs all summer. So I gave them a little challenge. I would pay them a dollar for every continuous sit-up and push-up they could do at the end of the summer. The Saturday before school started was the day. I got a little worried when Kate told me Jack did 186 sit-ups. On the day of reckoning he pumped out 300. Kate 150 all in. Money motivates physical activity. Money well spent for me.
This Father's Day weekend was spent in a quanit picturesque cabin in the mountains of North Carolina.
Known as Sassafras Rock it is one of four cabins run by Turnstone Log Cabins. It is exactly as it looks. No more, no less. Perfect for a short weekend with the family. So I took Kate bike shopping on Saturday. She is turning 13 in August and we were thinking of getting her a new bike as Jack assumed ownership of her two year old mountain bike. Somewhere along the way she sold me that this was the perfect year for an early birthday present so that she could use it all summer. She is either a good sales person, right, or both.
On Sunday we came home with a shiny new bike. First trip was to the local frozen yogurt shop with her brother.
Word is Jack was quite the hit with the girls today after his talent show performance on Saturday.
